The most expensive stuff here is probably the avocado, which is hardly a bank-breaking item. When you combine the 3, you create an au naturale face mask that’s worth more than the sum of all its parts.
To make one mask, you’ll need
4 teaspoon coconut oil
1 ripe avocado
8 drops of lavender oil
Scoop out the avocado flesh into a blender and add in the oils. Buzz them up real good till you get a paste. Bottle it up and give it out! Add some honey if you want a boost of antioxidants.

Combo 3: Butter, Lemon, Turkey Seasoning
It’s the Christmas season and your friends DEFINITELY looking to roast a turkey. Giving them a homemade turkey baste will make them love you even more. Don’t discount this idea just because it’s “cheap”. After all, gifting is about giving the right present to the right person at the right time.
You will need:
- 1/2 cup (4-ounces) unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning (dried basil, thyme and sage finely chopped)
It’s so easy to make the baste that even kitchen noobs can attempt without burning down the kitchen. First, melt the butter in a pot on medium-low heat. Add in the lemon juice and the seasoning and let it simmer for 3 minutes. Then, pour the sauce into a small, clean glass bottle and let it cool to room temperature before putting it in the fridge. Dress the bottle up nicely in gift wrapping/ribbon before giving your friends a homemade turkey baste!
