How secure is the Hugo Card?
A good thing about the Hugo Card is that you can lock it temporarily via the Hugo app. Whenever you lose or damage your card, or suspect misuse, you can disable it on demand and lodge a report, all via the app. Just don’t forget to order a replacement card afterward!
There are other reasons you may want to temporarily lock your card as well. If you decide to travel overseas or about to enter into a period of time where you will not be using your Hugo Card, you can choose to lock it until you do.
Accessing your Hugo Card details
Go to the Card Menu by clicking the red card icon at the top right-hand side of your home screen. In the My Hugo Card screen, tap on Show Card Details.

How does going “numberless” protect my Hugo Card?
We’ve touched on how going numberless protects your card in our previous article. All your card details can only be accessed via your Hugo app. Only your name is printed on the physical Hugo Card. Not only does your device provide a layer of security, so does the app, which is PIN-protected with the option of biometrics protection available.
What if my Hugo Card had been misused fraudulently?
There is an array of security measures in place to make sure you are protected. One of them is Visa’s Zero Liability policy. This means that you won’t be held responsible for unauthorised transactions made with your account or account information in cases where your Hugo Card is lost, stolen, or fraudulently used, online or offline.
Whenever you suspect that your card is used in a fraudulent way, immediately go into the Hugo app to lock your card, report a lost or stolen card, and contact Support.
